On 6th March 2012 , NDC paraded a group of men in military uniform whose faces were masked , sending opposition leaders and supporters into a state of panic .
Asiedu Nketia taunted Ghanaians that you had nothing to fear if you were not an evil person and that the Special Forces was created to deal with saboteurs and terrorists .
There were no agitations or big press conferences by the NPP against the Special Forces .
In 2020 , a government seeks to protect our borders during a “pandemic by placing a few military men there . Suddenly everything has gone haywire, with NDC alleging discrimination against citizens from Volta region and raining insults on the person of Nana Addo .
Now, which of the parties cares about national security and
which one cares about regime security and continuity ?
I do not take it seriously when a politician declares “ the battle is the Lord’s ,” because I am fully aware of the ungodly schemes and practices in secular politics; but it looks like everything is working for Nana Addo with divine precision. The border closure during a pandemic has coincided with the voter registration period and we can conveniently prevent our neighbors who are recruited by one political party to vote in our elections from entering.
The pandemic also means that NDC can only hold press conferences but cannot mobilize people to demonstrate on the street and afford Ofosu Ampofo the opportunity to carry out his “ covert and overt “ operations .
Let no one shed tears for the NDC . They sowed the seeds with Special Forces and they are reaping it with border patrols during a pandemic.
